Really good!! It is the owners that are at fault… I only adopt rescues. We just got a new 5 year old sweet dog. 5 big goals: I was trying 1: praise for Potty, 2: home (time) alone (even when we are here) , 3: off bed.. 4: on her bed. 5: wait….(for food or rushing out door.. then no pulling on lead… first two she is doing well.. last three not so well. We need to learn decompression go crate.. time.. even for 15 minutes. Lost there. (no dogs on beds ever.. yet we have 5 tempurpedic beds and one crate for two dogs.

Very useful information! TY Last week we rescued a dog (GSH Pointer) who was severely abused, neglected, and tied to a post with only 2 foot tether. He couldnt even lay down which caused his front legs to be deformed,. He is a very sweet dog and we are so in love with him already. There is one HUGE issue we are having with him, He totally loses it when he sees one of our cats. Being a GSH Pointer, he was probably used as a hunting dog. We havnt been able to let him out o the crate and explore the house in fear he will kill one of the cats. Any suggestions? We put all the cats in a bedroom to deflate his anxiety. We're just lost where to go from here.

What would you recommend when adopting a shelter's dog when you have 2 cats at home? One cat doesn't care about dogs, the other one is sensitive with any animal. How would you make them meet, what would be the restrictions for the dog or..everything (will also be a first time dog's owner)🙏✨

What if you are keeping the dog separate before pet instructions. The routines would change.

This is AWESOME INFORMATION! I had my Precious Furbaby for 16 years and it's been one year since I put him to rest. I am still HEARTBROKEN!! I finally am thinking about getting another Furbaby, I promised my Magic when the time comes I will adopt/rescue from the shelter and I found this video to be Extremely Helpful with Creating Structure in the home🙏❤

When you think about it, it makes so much sense that a puppy needs a ton of structure. Human children also need a ton of structure. It isn't until they're teenagers that they start to enjoy a good deal of autonomy.

does putting the water bowl and food bowl in the crate make sense? I am using a wire crate. I do this for every feeding.

question about feeding time for high drive/energy dog (dutch shepherd), is it best to feed twice a day? we used to feed our rat terrier only in evenings & it worked well but worried that he’ll be more stressed if not fed until the evening.

I have taken on a 3 year old she snarled and snapped at me first meeting 😮‍💨

A few months later she is a Velcro dog, but I’ve taught her ‘place’ when I want her to go to her place where she has a chew etc.

We do sooo much of various stuff too.

Lots of walks and adventures 😊

She use to wee & pee all over the place.

Now she knows potty time is varied times early am etc

She now goes to the door if she wants out 😃

She use to tremble uncontrollably she still does but it considerably less noticeable.

She is a fast learner and an absolute pleasure.

We really enjoy each other’s company.

    She’s seriously adorable.

We have Morning – night routine.

    She’s an Angel…

Is it best to have one person train the dog or actually the puppy? Basically the question is is it better to have one person the owner of the dog or puppy to train?
